The International Suspected Perioperative Allergic Reactions Group (ISPAR) is committed to making this website accessible to the widest possible audience, including people who use assistive technologies.
Our accessibility goal
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. WCAG explains how to make digital content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with disabilities.
The website has been reviewed through self-evaluation and responsive testing. It is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which means that some parts of the website do not yet fully meet the standard.
Measures we take
Accessibility is considered in the design, development, content, and maintenance of the website. Current measures include:
- responsive layouts for mobile, tablet, laptop, and desktop screens;
- keyboard-accessible primary navigation;
- a “Skip to content” link;
- visible keyboard focus indicators;
- labelled form fields and clearly identified required fields;
- semantic page regions and heading structures;
- readable colour contrast and scalable text;
- alternative text for meaningful images; and
- ongoing review of new and updated content.
Known limitations
We are continuing to improve the following areas:
- heading levels and page-title structures are not yet fully consistent across every template;
- some long scientific publication and meeting titles can be cumbersome at high zoom levels or on very small screens;
- some older images, downloadable documents, and linked third-party resources may not provide complete text alternatives or fully accessible formatting;
- accessibility of externally hosted event, journal, registration, and document services is outside ISPAR’s direct control; and
- form validation and status messages are undergoing further assistive-technology testing.
If you need information from an inaccessible document or external resource, contact us and we will try to provide an accessible alternative where reasonably possible.
Compatibility
The website is intended to work with current versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies. For the best experience, use an up-to-date browser and operating system. Some functions rely on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA.

When possible, please include:
- the web address of the page or document;
- a description of the problem;
- the browser and device you were using; and
- the assistive technology you were using, if applicable.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility enquiries promptly and will make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate response or alternative.
Assessment approach
This statement is based on self-evaluation, content review, keyboard and responsive-layout checks, and review against relevant WCAG 2.2 Level A and Level AA requirements. Accessibility will be reassessed as the website and its services develop.
