ISPAR Annual Meeting 2023
(joint meeting with UK Drug Allergy Network)
28-29 September 2023, Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate, UK
A 2-day meeting in an historic hotel in the beautiful Victorian spa town of Harrogate. The programme includes topical lectures, pro/con debates, practical updates and free paper sessions. There will be plenty of time for networking.
Registration packages start from £125 for one day and £250 for 2 days (with dinner and overnight accommodation) for bookings received by 31 July 2023.
We invite submission of abstracts describing clinical or basic science, or challenging clinical cases.

All accepted abstracts will be eligible for poster presentation (authors must attend the meeting) – authors of selected abstracts will be invited to give a verbal presentation.
Poster instructions:
- Size A1, portrait orientation (60 cm wide x 84 cm high)
- You must include:
- The title
- Authors (presenting author underlined)
- Institution name, city, country
- Text & figures that can be read at a distance of 1 metre.
Travel:
By car: Directions from the south – M1 to A1 Wetherby, then exit onto A661 to Harrogate. Follow the signs to Ripon and town centre. Drive down Parliament Street, straight across the traffic lights at the bottom, and up Ripon Road. After approximately 150 yards, turn left into Swan Road.
Directions from the north – A1 to A61 for Ripon and Thirsk. Follow the signs to Ripon. Follow the signs to Harrogate, through Ripley and Killinghall. Take 2nd exit off the roundabout onto Ripon Road, after approx. 1 mile, turn right into Swan Road.
Parking – Over 100 car parking spaces on site. Must display a valid parking permit which can be collected from reception upon arrival at the hotel. All parking is subject to availability and operates on a first come, first served basis.
By train: Harrogate has a good service to London via Leeds or York (there are some direct trains via Leeds) and the journey time from London is around 3 hours. Harrogate Station is 1 mile from the hotel. The taxi rank is directly outside the station or it is approx. 15 minute walk to the hotel.
By air – The hotel is 14 miles from Leeds-Bradford airport, which has good international connections with KLM via Amsterdam. Otherwise, Manchester Airport (72 miles from the hotel) has direct flights from many international destinations, including the USA. Trains run via Leeds (change at Manchester & Leeds) at least every hour and takes 2 – 2.5 hours (cost ~ £40). A taxi from Manchester Airport (90 minute journey time) to Harrogate is ~ £110 and is a good option for more than one person travelling together.
It is best to book a taxi before you travel (airport taxis may charge higher prices). Reliable Harrogate-based taxi companies serving both Leeds-Bradford and Manchester Airports with online booking.
