Dr Brian Baldo was an influential scientist whose research helped advance modern understanding of drug allergy and hypersensitivity. Internationally recognised for his work in structural immunochemistry, he clarified how medicines and other chemicals can trigger immune reactions in humans. His collaborations with clinicians and researchers left a lasting mark on perioperative allergy, particularly in the investigation of suspected hypersensitivity during anaesthesia.
