This updated EAACI position paper provides practical guidance on the methodology and non-irritating concentrations used for drug skin testing in immediate and non-immediate hypersensitivity reactions.

Of particular relevance to perioperative allergy, Table 4 presents updated skin prick test and intradermal test concentrations for drugs commonly used in the perioperative setting, including hypnotics, neuromuscular blocking agents, reversal agents, vasoactive drugs, opioids, analgesics, local anaesthetics, antiemetics, antibiotics, antiseptics, plasma expanders, dyes, and other perioperative agents.
